our first diy breakfast and into the drizzle. Heading way up into the hills and to the most awesome and desolate scenery yet. Left my mobile to admire the view! So if anyone wants to offer words of encouragement, please do so via the blog until i sort out another. Misty, remote, spectacular continued all day, dotted with sheep and tiny methodist chapels. Agonising climbs and rollercoaster thrill descents. Past over the 500 mile half way point, yee ha! Rachel 48 miles
This comment posting thing is not easy. For the third time - well done, hope the bums are ok and the beds are comfortable. Glad everyone is looking after you all so well and we are all really proud of you here for what a fantastic achievement you are making. Off to Cornwall on Thursday but keep it up and will call next week. Lots of love Jan, Glenn and the boys
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteFrom Graham, we met at a cafe in Highbridge, I had just beaten you to the bike repair shop and my brakes were deemed more important than your mysterious clicking – obviously said clicking hasn't slowed you down.
I finished on Sunday – sighs of relief – and am now home and recuperating. The bike is buried in the compost heap – am I joking you wonder.
Slaidburn had a nice little cafe down by the river – I found it a bit of a life saver.
Your putting rather good daily distances in, well done, your lasted this long so you’re going to finish. Don’t worry about the dreaded midges, you’re going much to fast they’ll never catch you. And remember; never bypass a friendly looking cafe, a coffee and a bit of cake makes so much difference.
Keep it up I’ll be watching & rooting on for you
Hi Jan, Glenn, Aaron and Adam, lovely to hear from you! Lovely to see you when I get back and have a good time in Cornwall!
ReplyDeleteHi Graham, so glad you finished. Looking forward to having the same feeling in about a weeks time. I have a feeling the midges will catch me with the speed I'm going! Lovely to meet you and hear your stories too.
Love Bobs
