Crikey lasses,
ReplyDeleteHow many miles per day is that?
I've just for the first time in my life done 40 miles in a day - took 7 hours with lots of breaks. I've never done more than 7 miles before. So I have a small inkling of what you're about to embark on!
By the end of my trip I didn't want to sit for the rest of the evening. Day 1 & 2, I didn't want to see a bike and day 3 found my hands numb so waering mitts was a necessity when cycling to work. Have absolutely no idea how on earth I could cover similar mileage or more per day! Full of admiration!
Thanks Ama! If you're up Rach's way, why not come and join in for a few miles when we head up to Slaidburn! Have you taken up 40 miles a day for a reason? Good luck!

Good luck from the Simcox's.
ReplyDeletejust met the three 'quines'(lassies you'll understand the coloquialism by the time you reach newtonmore) down the pub no less where by all account they have been cavorting with the local 'loons'and encouraging the said youth to fill their glasses with one of the local devils brew aka butcombes. i suppose if your mad enough to undertake such an amazing challenge you need all the hangovers you can get !!! oh and by the way if one of the said quines (no names eh bobs) ever offers to buy you a pint, make sure you accompany said person to the bar.....thereby ensuring you just might get one!!! ;-) hey, but on a more serious note, try csharp, they are amazing lassies and what they are undertaking is truly manifique, be proud of yourselves. yer 'quids in' (rachaels wearing her 'cycling top' nice one rach!!!!). did distract me from my pizza somewhat but whaeye or sumit like whatever they say they say up your neck of the woods.now remember ladies we want the full and unabridged diary account, blow by blow, of your amazing adventure. be inspired by alyn's memory, but just as important be inspired by yourselves and each other. lots of love and best wishes. p.s. we'll be watching :-)christine & cliff
