good luck from mick

Mick would like to wish Gig the best of luck and weather. Cycle safely!

Getting Ready

Thought I'd start telling you about training and preparations.

At Easter Bobs and I did a 2 day 'Door 2 Door' ride from Lee to Pulborough. Tested out our wet weather gear, but some 'Sunny Intervals'. Great views on the North Downs. Since then I've ridden at least 35 miles every weekend with local cycle groups and kept up the usual daily school run.

Had a brilliant sunny solo 50 mile trip round the Grand Union from Kew Bridge to Eton and Windsor and back along the Thames. The bumpy tow paths gave me a full assessment of my padding!

The Isle of Wight Randonnee at 66 miles (Bobs says 70!) was our longest yet and another glorious day. I'm hiding behind the camera while we wait for the ferry!

Half term now and Mick and I are off to Galway where I'm all set for 3 days riding round Lough Corrib and Mick will be testing the Smart phone.

I'll let you know how it goes.
